Strokes Taught in This Class
Front Stroke
We begin class with Front Stroke or often called Freestyle; this is the most common stroke in swimming and allows our swimmers to get comfortable with swimming face down and getting their eyes and face in the water.
Elementary Backstroke
This stroke is known as the "Emergency Stroke," as it allows tired swimmers to catch their breath and regain composure before safely making their way to the shore or the side of the pool.
Backstroke
During backstroke practice, children have the opportunity to master balance and refine their technique, all while enhancing their overall swimming proficiency.
Diving
Diving is exclusively taught at our Spanaway location, where we emphasize the importance of diving safety and technique. This valuable skill not only enables children to dive deeper but also helps them build a stronger trust and connection with the water, enhancing their overall confidence in aquatic environments.
