When it comes to introducing babies to swimming, parents understandably have questions. At Kinder Swimmer, we love helping families feel informed and excited about this milestone. Here are the top five questions we receive about our Infant Swim Classes, along with answers to put your mind at ease.

1. What is the right age to start swim lessons for infants?

Our Infant Swim Classes are designed for babies as young as 3 months old. At this age, babies are naturally more comfortable in the water due to their reflexive movements and familiarity with being submerged (think of their time in the womb!).

2. Do I need to be in the water with my baby?

Yes! Infant swim lessons are a bonding experience. A parent or guardian is required to be in the water during class, ensuring your baby feels safe and supported as they learn basic water skills through songs and play.

3. What will my baby learn in the class?

Our program focuses on helping babies become comfortable with getting their faces and ears wet, going underwater, and practicing simple water skills like floating and kicking—all taught in a fun, gentle way.

4. Is the pool safe and clean for babies?

Absolutely. Our pools are maintained at a warm 92 degrees, ideal for babies’ sensitive bodies. We also adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a clean, safe environment.

5. What should I bring to class?

Pack essentials like a swim diaper, a towel, and a change of clothes for your baby. Don’t forget to bring your smile—this is an experience both you and your baby will treasure!
